1. Improved Cook Stove
Firewood for cooking costs approximately 30% of many CasaSito Scholar's family incomes and generates large amounts of smoke that can cause severe respiratory health issues over time.
GOAL: Design a solution that is efficient and reduces smoke inhalation to better the health of the families.
2. Water Collection
Families in Guatemala often have to walk long distances with their vases to collect water for use, or depend on rain water that is consistent throughout the year. When storing water, it is also hard to maintain cleanliness of the water.
GOAL: Design a way to improve reliability of access to water and cleanliness of storage.
